MP’s vote for their favourite songs

July 29, 2006

The Daily Mirror reports that British MP’s have declared their favourite songs and goes on to castigate them for their “very safe choices. The Beatles, U2 and Pink Floyd inevitably pop up in lists like this. One glaring omission is the Rolling Stones.”

Fortunately I can reveal that three Labour luminaries all chose Stones songs:
John Prescott chose Street fighting man and I can’t get no satisfraction

Tony Blair chose I want to be loved, and Off the hook and he also chose for Gordon Brown You can’t always get what you want, No expectations and Try a little harder

Gordon Brown’s favourites were I wanna be your man and Time is on my side. He also chose two songs for Tony Blair: It’s all over now and Out of time.
