some more silly verse part one

August 5, 2006

not one of Tom Lee’s better ones

another poem written on the death of my dog

This old man he was glum
He plays knick knack till he’s numb
With a knick knack paddy whack give a dog a bone
this old man came weeping home

This old man he was blue
He played knick knack in the dew
With a knick knack paddy whack give a dog a bone
this old man came weeping home

This old man he did plea
He played knick knack with no glee
With a knick knack paddy whack give a dog a bone
this old man came weeping home

This old man he just swore
He played knick knack more and more
With a knick knack paddy whack give a dog a bone
this old man came weeping home

This old man he’s alive
Burn his knick knacks, he’ll not thrive
With a knick knack paddy whack give a dog a bone
this old man came weeping home

This old man’s in a fix
He played knick knack just for kicks
With a knick knack paddy whack give a dog a bone
this old man came weeping home

This old man don’t believe in
knick knacks, paddy whacks, hell or heaven
With a knick knack paddy whack give a dog a bone
this old man came weeping home

This old man he thinks fate
‘s left him in a right old state
With a knick knack paddy whack give a dog a bone
this old man came weeping home

This old man he is fine
He plays knick knacks rain or shine
With a knick knack paddy whack give a dog a bone
this old man came weeping home

This old man he hates zen,
priests with knick knacks, three wise men
With a knick knack paddy whack give a dog a bone
this old man weeps all alone.
